Our story

Authentic craft, run as a business

Bali Rattan Craft grew out of a passion for authentic craftsmanship and sustainable business. Founded within Juara Holding Group, we saw the extraordinary talent of Bali’s artisans and the global demand for handcrafted rattan — and set out to connect master weavers directly with retailers, hotels and designers abroad.

Over 20 years we have built relationships with generations of rattan craftspeople, starting in a small workshop and learning directly from master artisans. Growth came by word of mouth among designers and hospitality professionals, and we refused shortcuts toward mass production along the way.

Juara means “champion” in Indonesian. Like every Juara business, we measure success not only by revenue but by our impact on artisan livelihoods and the environment — and we believe profitability and ethical practice belong together.

We are B2B specialists, logistics experts, designers and artisan advocates. Being based in Bali keeps us close to artisan communities and production, while our network handles international service.

Master artisans lead production teams and mentor younger weavers. Quality inspectors work with checklists and measuring tools for consistency, while respecting the natural variation of handwoven pieces.
